San Francisco, looking for clues

This is the story of Scott and Heather’s walkabout. We are embarking on a trip ’round the world, beginning with central Texas and heading west. We will visit friends, family, teachers, old and new places, and interface with diverse cultures while exploring a nomadic lifestyle.

We’re not quite out the door yet so our first posts will be about preparation. Once we are off we’ll be taking pictures, ranting about gear, appreciating brilliant design, and sharing perfect moments.

Why? Our top reasons for going are:
1. Experience first hand how other cultures live day-to-day and broaden our concept of normal
2. Live a more minimalist and nomadic way of life for a while
3. Visit centers of bodywork, movement, and spirituality in order to deepen our own practice
4. Give some time to passions that we’ve neglected in favor of our vocations

Like our morals, our plans are a little loose, but here’s our first cut at our stops:

  • Arizona, US
  • New Mexico, US
  • California, US
  • Oregon, US
  • Washington, US
  • Canada
